Grama Marty's Summer Visit 2010

Grama Marty and Grampa Rick drove down from Montana for their annual summer visit. They were here from about June 25 to July 12 this year. It was extra special because they were able to attend some family events during their visit, like Caitlin's graduation party and Ryan's baptism. We also had our usual gatherings out at Aunt Claire's house a few times during their visit. That's where these pictures come from.



Ryan and Nathen are relaxing on the deck together. Aunt Claire has lots of baby gear, since she has three new grandbabies, so we borrowed an infant rocker for Ryan. He loved that thing! I am currently trying to find a used one for us to have one for him at home.

Ryan watched Mikenna playing in her car. She bounces like crazy in it. What a happy girl!

Only Kevin would dump out all the balloons so he could walk around with the bucket on his head.

Grandmas have the magic touch. :) Grama Marty rocked Ryan to sleep when he wouldn't settle down for Mommy.

Andrea and Addie were trying to catch the bubbles coming off the bubble octopus, but it was a bit windy that day.

Andrea looked like a body-builder when we put her towel on over her floaties. She thought that was hilarious!

The kids went in the playhouse to warm up after their swim.

Kevin liked opening and closing the doors and windows.

I gave Ryan a turn in Mikenna's car. He liked it for about a minute, and then he wanted to get out of it.

Grama Marty's puppy, Teela, liked the babies. She kept trying to lick them. In this case, she had been tied up to a chair, but managed to get loose, and jumped down onto Ryan's lap. He didn't seem to mind.

Grama Marty has the magic touch with dogs, too. ;) Teela is her new fur-baby.

Later, Aunt Rosie came over with Denise's little girl, Tristan. She and Andrea are close in age, and quickly became friends. They are watching TV and having a "picnic" after swimming.

Everyone was worn out from the fresh air and swimming. Daddy ended up cuddling with a pile of kids on Aunt Claire's recliner.

The next time we went over was after Kevin fractured his elbow.

He's giving Grama Marty a drink from the hose. It was SO hot outside that day!

The pool was warm because of the weather, so I took Ryan in with me for a dip. He liked it, but the sun made him all squinty.

It was also close to nap-time, so he was getting relaxed and sleepy!

Andrea was excited to have Ryan swimming with us. Ryan was intrigued by her floaties.

Aunt Claire has lots of cool floaties for all the babies. Once we got Ryan settled in, he almost fell asleep in this little airplane floatie!

Who knew floaties could be so entertaining? :)

These are all the pictures I got from our visits with Grama Marty at Aunt Claire's, but I'm sure they got a lot more, too.

Andrea even got a special treat one night--she got to sleep at Grama Marty and Grampa Rick's camper, all by herself! She chose to use a sleeping bag on the floor of their new fifth-wheel so it would be more like a real camp-out. The next morning, she got to help Grama Marty make pancakes, too! She was so excited about her special sleep-over with them. :)
