Ryan had a typical reaction to his first bit of rice cereal mixed with formula: curiosity, then squinty faces, then oozing it all out of his mouth. So far, he hasn't caught on to how to keep it in his mouth yet. I think it might take him a little while to figure out how this new way of eating works!
We ended on a happy note, though I doubt he actually ingested more than a quarter teaspoon of the food!

Later on the same day, I got out his bumbo chair and music table. He's really starting to prefer a sitting position (though he can't do it himself yet), and he is also grabbing at everything now.
This toy has always been a hit with the kids. I bought it when Kevin was a baby, and Andrea loved it too. They all still love it, so they played together. It's good for them to practice sharing, and for Ryan to learn from watching the older siblings play.
