Ryan's Baptism

We finally got Ryan baptized on Sunday, July 11. I say finally because if you've talked to me lately, you know what a hassle I've had with the process this time. From non-returned phone calls to lost paperwork to miscommunication, I thought we'd never get this baby baptized! Still, it all worked out in the end. The July baptism meant Grama and Grampa from Montana were able to attend, and when we showed up at the church and saw a pew reserved for "The Gagnon Family," we knew everything would be fine.

Ryan looked so adorable in his little baptism suit. :)

When we got to the church, his eyes got huge. I think he was overwhelmed by all the people, lights, and music. It was an extra-special day at the church because it was The Feast of Our Lady of the Atonement, besides being a baptism day.

After the Mass, we took a bunch more pictures with Ryan and our family.

(Ryan was getting really tired. He started to wail at the end of Mass! Thankfully, the singing drowned out his crying.)

After the baptism, we went to the Cora restaurant on Walker Road for breakfast. They are one of Daddy's clients, and they have really nice breakfasts. They set aside a separate section just for us!

Papa got to sit at the kids' table, lucky guy. They certainly kept him busy.

Aunt Angie, Gram, Great-Gram, and Great-Grandma shared a table.

Aunt Stephanie, Uncle Tony, and Hannah got a sunny spot by the window.

Kevin kept throwing his place mat on the floor, so Papa put it on his head!

Ryan couldn't sleep with all the excitement, but he did get a little snack.

Papa and Ryan got a good view of Mommy opening Ryan's gifts.

Gram and Papa are Ryan's godparents. Daddy's Gram and Papa were his godparents--a bit of a tradition. :))

I got this adorable overhead shot of Ryan playing with a prayer-duckie he got from Gram and Papa. His eyes are so beautiful in this picture!

Ryan was happy to get home, get into a cooler and more comfortable onesie, and stretch out on the carpet with his new toys.
